Biography
If the picture on the right is of any indication, it's that I craved a lot of attention from childhood. It was during a weekly family trip to the park, my mother LOVED to take pictures and wanted to document as many memories as she could. I took advantage of a lot of those moments. Combine that with my love of playing pretend and reenacting my favorite movies and TV shows - it was inevitable when I decided that I wanted to tell stories for a living.
Born in Japan, raised in Washington, from two first-generation Filipino immigrants as the eldest of two, I initially went to college as an engineering major. But then I ended up graduating from the University of Washington with a BA in Musical Theater.
I made my professional debut in the 5th Avenue Theatre's newly revised production of Paint Your Wagon. As a result, I've had the pleasure of working in theaters all around the Seattle area including: ArtsWest, ACT Theater, Seattle Children's Theatre, and Village Theatre.
I have also performed internationally - performing Shakespeare and filming TV shows in London and adapting Chekov short stories in Moscow.
I received the 2016 5th Avenue Theatre Subscriber's Choice Award for Outstanding Male Actor in a Featured Role for my portrayal of Guang-Li in Paint Your Wagon, in addition to the 2017 BroadwayWorld Best Featured Actor In A Musical (Local) Award for my performance as Bill Calhoun in Seattle Musical Theatre's production of Kiss Me, Kate.
In 2021, I co-founded Halfpace Theatre Company with Megan Brewer.

Nowadays you can find me in London, with my wife and our black cat named Tetra.

Artist Statement
Truth. Intention. Conversation.
I thrive in a collaborative environment where everyone involved contributes to help shape the potential of a new, fresh story - and how it can further break the boundaries of theatre. I have always been fascinated by new work, especially work that comes from under-represented communities. Similarly, I really enjoy exploring new perspectives on classic and contemporary pieces - finding new ways to tell beloved stories and interpreting its characters.
At the heart of it all, my best work comes from genuine, meaningful, and visceral connections with the material, my colleagues, and the audience.
I'm in a constant state of growth. Every production I've been a part of has taught me something about the process. To this day, I'm still discovering things about myself and what works for me. I always look forward to learning, failing, and growing.
